    November 16, 2020 Update: Measures For Our Licensed Neighborhoods

    November 16, 2020

    For our licensed (assisted living and memory care) neighborhoods.

    Dear Families,

    As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to climb, we are remaining steadfast in our adherence to all guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as our enhanced community protocols.

    While we are doing everything we can to minimize the contraction and spread of the virus, in the event someone in our assisted living or memory care neighborhoods tests positive for COVID-19, we have outlined some of our measures to keep everyone in our community as safe as possible. These efforts include:

    • All staff is trained on infection control practices, including hand washing, personal protective equipment (PPE) donning and doffing, symptom monitoring and reporting, etc.;
    • For residents who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, we have a dedicated employee providing one-on-one care to reduce cross contamination;
    • All COVID-19 positive residents receive temperature checks three times per day in addition to routine monitoring of symptoms and oxygen levels;
    • COVID-19 positive residents stay in isolation in their apartment for at least 10 days. During this time, we assist residents with hand hygiene each time we enter their apartment;
    • We have an employee dedicated to helping to isolate residents who have wandered from their apartment return to their apartment and promote social distancing throughout the community.

    We appreciate your understanding and support as we are continually monitoring and adjusting our protocols based on ever-changing findings around controlling the virus. If you have any questions about our current measures, please reach out.
