Chef Benoit of StoryPoint Libertyville began his journey in the culinary world at a young age, looking over his mother’s shoulder in wonder as she prepared meals for him and his two brothers.
After many years in France working as a journalist, Benoit decided it was time to pursue his deep passion for cooking. This began many years of training with some of the top chefs in France. A desire to share his skills led him to L’Atelier des Sens where he taught French cooking classes to Parisians and tourists alike. After 20 years, Chef Benoit left France in 2012 to start a new life in Chicago with his wife, Christi, where he opened his own bistro.
