If you’re looking for an award-winning city, look no further than Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Lonely Planet named Chattanooga “Best in the U.S.” and credited it as one of the “10 U.S. destinations you need to see.” The New York Times even called Chattanooga one of the “Top 45 Places to go” in the World.
To us at StoryPoint Chattanooga, a premier senior living community offering assisted living and memory care, we can clearly see why. Our home city is nestled between mountains and the Tennessee River. It’s filled with people who are always there to offer a helping hand and plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors.

What’s There To Do?
It’s not difficult to find something to do in Chattanooga — especially when there’s a new experience around every turn!
Here’s a list of some of our StoryPoint Chattanooga residents’ favorite places to visit and favorite businesses to support.
Flat Top Mountain Farm
Flat Top Mountain Farm offers visitors an authentic farm experience as well as seasonal activities and events. This farm is run by the seventh, eighth and ninth generation great grandchildren of Hezekiah Hughes, the man who settled the farm in the early 1820s. To this day, the family maintains their love for the land, their country and, of course, their family.
For us, Flat Top Mountain Farm is a seasonal favorite. Recently we spent a beautiful autumn day on the farm enjoying hayrides, picking pumpkins and laughing together on tractor rides.
Tennessee Aquarium
“Experience endless adventures,” at the Tennessee Aquarium. Guests can learn more about water-dwelling animals like North American River Otters, Macaroni Penguins, Alligator Snapping Turtles, Sand Tiger Sharks and more. The Aquarium also provides daily programming, IMAX experiences, camps, and other efforts to conserve and educate visitors.
Chattanooga Lookouts Baseball
Buy some peanuts and crackerjacks at AT&T field and see the Chattanooga Lookouts play ball. This minor-league baseball team is a Double-A Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, and it’s a blast to watch them play.
Our community shuttle loaded up a band of baseball fanatics, and we got to enjoy a game all together. We even got to meet the team’s mascot, Looie the Lookout!
Oren Wooden’s Apple House
Oren Wooden’s Apple House is known for their southern staples and is complete with an orchard, farmers market, restaurant, bakery and gift shop. This family business (which is now six generations in the making!) is happy to share their farm-fresh produce with everyone who stops by.
Our residents look forward to our annual fall trip to Wooden’s Apple Barn all year. While we’re there, we enjoy some delicious food, shopping and time spent together.
Love On A Leash
Love on a Leash is a nonprofit organization in Chattanooga that holds a very special place in our hearts. With a mission of bringing comfort, happiness and healing to people nationwide, Love on a Leash utilizes pet-provided therapy to comfort the community.
Dogs like Riley, Pookie, and Bella, Luna, Maggie, and Skylar, and more can often be found at our community giving kisses, getting treats, and putting a smile on our residents’ faces.

And At StoryPoint Chattanooga?
At StoryPoint Chattanooga, we’re proud to serve the seniors and families of our city. Providing them with the absolute best experience is our mission and our life’s work. That’s why our employees dedicate their days to making sure our residents get the most out of theirs.
It’s in the little things they do — like knowing who likes their coffee black, who has the biggest belly laugh, who spent the day with their grandkids yesterday and how it went.
But it’s in the big things, too — like utilizing the latest research to create intentional programming that is personalized to each unique resident.
For 40 years, that commitment is what makes us a leader in senior living. And we have the awards to back it up. Like the city of Chattanooga, StoryPoint has been honored with awards, too, including the 2023 Caring Star award from Caring.com and Best Of Senior Living by A Place For Mom.
Our award-winning community offers unique living options including assisted living and memory care.
