It’s hard to believe, but after our participation in Showcase & Taste of Plymouth, we still had food left over! Our team at Independence Village of Plymouth is not eager to throw such great, fresh food away, so we happily shared it with the nearby University of Michigan student call center. Here’s a short note we received from the center’s director:
Hi all,
I just wanted to send over a message of gratitude to the Independence Village location in Plymouth, MI. They graciously donated their leftover food from Taste of Plymouth to our student call center at the University of Michigan. The call center is an invaluable resource that provides employment and scholarships for students that otherwise would not be able to afford the high costs of attending U-M and gifts like these are warmly appreciated by our student employees. We’re sincerely grateful for the kindness exhibited by Independence Village Plymouth and wish them all the best.
Kind Regards,
Ray Schmidt
Call Center Director and MBA Candidate at the University of Michigan
You are most welcome, Ray!
