Exploring Knoxville With StoryPoint Residents
There’s so much to do in Knoxville, Tennessee. Trust us, we’ve done it all!
At StoryPoint Knoxville West, our community looks forward to every opportunity to share an outing together exploring our city. And we wanted to share a few of our favorite places with you.
Here’s a closer look at some of our best times adventuring in Knoxville:
University of Tennessee Gardens
The University of Tennessee Gardens is one of the three sites of the State Botanical Gardens of Tennessee. This outdoor learning laboratory is open year-round and is even free to the public.
They have 15 collections of gardens, tons of activities, workshops and events. And, did we mention? It’s beautiful! With sculpture collections, memorials, a children’s garden, Monarch Waystation and more, it’s no wonder that the University of Tennessee Gardens is one of our favorite places to visit.
The team from University of Tennessee Gardens stopped by our community to give our residents their own lesson on gardening. The blooms they brought us were beautiful, and we had a great time learning something new together.
Regal Cinebarre West Town Mall
Grab some popcorn and get ready to see a show! The Regal Cinebarre West Town Mall is great for shopping, but our residents prefer to head straight to the theatre to see the latest movie releases.
When we saw the new Elvis movie, our residents even had the whole theatre to ourselves. Everyone rated the film a “10/10,” and we enjoyed a night out together.
After the movie, head over to the arcade or play some pool at the billiards tables. There’s also a bar where you can grab drinks right in the theatre, and of course, movie snacks are a must.
Young Williams Animal Shelter
Welcoming an animal into your family is such a special time, and at the Young Williams Animal Shelter, they strive to help match each animal with their perfect fur-ever family.
Many of our residents at StoryPoint Knoxville West adopted their cherished family pets from the shelter. So, we decided to pay the team there a visit. While we were there, residents had a great time reminiscing on all the pets they’ve loved throughout their lives. We volunteered our time, and pet some sweet puppies, too!
Cruze Farm
Is there anything better than homemade ice cream on a hot summer day? We don’t think so.
Cruze Farm is our favorite spot for delicious ice cream treats. Flavors are updated daily, so you never know what delicious treats are waiting for you. All the ice cream is made from the family-owned dairy farm where they pasteurize and bottle real churned buttermilk, whole milk, light milk, chocolate milk, coffee milk and seasonal flavored milks.
The options are endless, and we know they all taste great. That’s what makes Cruze Farm one of our favorite places to be — and look at those Cruze Farm hats!
Ham ‘N Goodys
Ham ‘N Goodys is home of the world-famous lemon cookies, but that’s not all they offer. Using old family recipes and only the best ingredients, Ham ‘N Goodys became more than just a bakery. Their delicious treats and lunches bring people together — our community included!
Zoo Knoxville
“It’s wildly fun,” at Zoo Knoxville! This local zoo is committed to sharing wildly fun experiences that educate and inspire. Not only are they lots of fun, but they’re also very serious about saving animals. Protecting endangered species is at the heart of what they do.
Would you believe us if we said there was a snake in our community? The Zoo Knoxville stopped by to share some of their unique animals with us, and our residents got to meet some slithery friends.
