FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Brighton, MI – June 27, 2016 – StoryPoint Senior Living Company has established the Veterans Models Project at every community location, including their sister company – Independence Village.
The Veterans Model Project pays tribute to our local veterans whom are also residents from an Independence Village or StoryPoint community. Sean Tracy, Project Founder and Creator, makes a difference in the lives of residents by visiting them at their home, learning their stories, video-recording them and then he builds and gives the veterans replicas of planes, tanks, trucks or boats that were part of their military service as a way to thank them. “I think all vets have to be thanked,” said Tracy, 55, of Wixom. “It’s my way of thanking them. It’s the best way I know how. His goal is to build and give a free model to every veteran who wants one.
It’s a one-man-show when it comes to building the models; It can take anywhere from 20 to 300 hours to build a single model. So far, he’s handed out about 150+ of his special gifts.
Residents, family members and Independence Village employees are honored to share The Veterans Model Project with their communities – the generosity and sincerity is a true testament to the man who is honoring the brave veterans and the company that stands behind this important cause.
