From the moment I walked in and was greeted not only by the friendly staff, but a personalized sign to welcome me, StoryPoint aimed to impress. The bustling lobby felt energized, the decor was elegant and modern, the staff was warm and welcoming. Our guide, Gavin, was informative and compassionate, asking questions that really felt like he was trying to understand what I needed and not like he was gathering intel to sweeten the deal. The studio apartment he showed me was perfect, clean and updated and the property felt like a place people go to live their best life, not somewhere you go to die. I was incredibly impressed by the amenities, the caring staff and all the residents I talked to seemed happy to be there.

The environment & staff of Story Point assisted & memory care neighborhoods is beyond my expectations. My sister loves the kind yet firm staff, especially when she doesn’t feel like engaging, they are excellent at redirecting her lack of enthusiasm to one of “ now, aren’t you happy you got involved?!” She really enjoys the food, & the service & attention, especially when giving out snacks& treats. My Mom has been at StoryPoint Birmingham for 1 year and has lived in both the Assisted and the Memory Care neighborhoods. Both have been wonderful. The staff are kind and attentive to my mother's needs. They are well trained to deal with Alzheimer's situations and behaviors without upsetting or embarrassing the resident. Even the Kitchen staff and Maintenance crew are warm and well trained for dealing with residents special needs. They feel like family and have helped me and my family navigate this unusual journey. The facilities are bright and clean, food is great and the activities meet the capabilities of the individuals. We especially like the live music and special parties. I highly recommend StoryPoint Birmingham.

My mom has been a resident for a little over a month and we’re very happy with the dining room/food. She is on a very strict, low sodium diet and the dining room chef, management and staff go out of their way to to accommodate her needs. The chef will even make a no salt version of an entrée just for her if needed, which is wonderful. Thanks so much for taking good care of her!

My favorite thing is the nice girls that help take care of me. The food is good and I like when they cook southern food. I love that I can have my best friend, my cat "Nike," here with me. I wouldn't still be around without him. Also, we have lots of handsome men!

I love to go on outings on the bus. They organize it well for seniors and always make sure we have good parking. We went to the Aquarium and it was really nice and well done.

The staff from management to housekeeping have been diligent, attentive and caring. My mom enjoys the meals. The building is keep clean. My mom has a studio with kitchenette that is perfectly sized for for her. Everyone there seems to know her name.

I like the people taking care of me and I have special ones that are very kind and nice. I like the girl at the front desk. When I have problem and I tell management, they always try to fix it.

We have had a great experience at Story Pointe. My mother is settling in nicely and everyone is really nice. Everyone knows her name and her needs. They do a great job checking on her. They manage her medication and always make sure she is eating. Overall it has been a very good experience.

Story Point is truly spilling with love. I’ve interviewed other facilities & I my loved one lived at another facility for a couple of years. Story Point has met my expectations in every way. Every staff member I’ve observed, has interacted with the residents in a very caring way. I’ve seen many go above & beyond. The Food doesn’t compare to the last place my loved one was at. The food is good with several healthy options! The chef went out of his way to make my loved one something that wasn’t on the menu a couple of times. I can’t say enough positive things about this facility. I HIGHLY recommend it.

My Loved One [removed name] has been here 6 months and she is more content than at home. The staff is most important. They are alert, caring, friendly, patient and professional. Several told me they are there because they like what they do. They get continuing training. They engage the residents often, with empathy, happiness and energy. Food is a big part of the day. They serve 3 meals with an afternoon happy hour or snack. The food is upscale with several choices, options and deserts. Simple comfort food is always available, as are several flavors of ice cream. Food is prepared on site and I know the chef. We had the food 3 times before choosing StoryPoint. The place looks like a resort hotel with high ceilings and many large windows. It is spacious, airy and well lit. We like sitting in the courtyards in good weather. Its clean. The apartments are large with several large windows. The bath is quite large, with a roomy walk-in shower. Activities are available at least 3 times a day.
