We made the decision to move my father to Edencrest at the Legacy in Norwalk after touring a year prior and checking reviews and recommendations from others. We felt confident it would meet my Father’s needs after an unexpected surgery and rehabilitation made it unwise to return to his home alone. What we did not know is how warm and caring the staff and residents would be to my dad and all of us. He actually tells us frequently how nice it is there. We have had a couple of glitches that were immediately addressed to our satisfaction. We are very pleased with the care and concern he receives. We like the fact that it is not one of the mega communities we have seen advertised. The activities and meals keep him sufficiently social and he continues to thrive. Thank you, Edencrest!!

There has been a lot of turnover so I think they are working on it. But staff do not say hi to visitors and no one knows their names. The kitchen staff has been new a few times. It appears they do not plan menus taking the residence age and abilities to eat what they cook. Most things are fried and coated. I have personally eaten there and it was overcooked and cold. They have removed the salad bar so no other choice. I feel they at least need to always have fresh fruits available and yogurts. Casseroles and foods that are more easily digested.

Edencrest is the best! They really care about their residents and their families. You can really tell they put their whole hearts into making Edencrest a wonderful home and treat all their residents as if they are family. The place is really clean and well organized and you can tell the staff is passionate about what they do. They also always recognize and greet me and many others i’ve seen as well whenever we come to see our family members. Top notch place and one day I expect my children to ensure I come to live here too.
