Independence Village has been wonderful in working with us. Bro-in-law signed contract on 5/5 to move in later in the month. He fell and broke his leg on [date removed]. The trauma left him delirious. They have kept in contact with us and are still allowing him to live there since his recovery is almost complete. The people are nice and helpful and welcoming and AVAILABLE! Food is good and balanced. Transportation is available. The residents I've met really like it there.

Jay at Independence Village in Traverse City was top notch with give my parents a tour, answering questions, very compassionate. She kept in touch with me since my Mom had a stroke & we were going through the process of deciding where she & my Dad should live. She also arranged for Kelsey from Corsocare meet with me prior to bringing my parents for their tour. Kelsey explained the services they offer if needed for care. All around great experience!

I have been going through the lengthy process of finding a place my dad is comfortable with and am so pleased with Independence Village so far. Extremely responsive to my initial inquiry, and quickly got me in for a tour and spent a lot of time with me. I tried to be up front that this is going to take a long time and not be a quick process, and Jay could not be more patient and understanding, sending helpful info and following up, but also never pushing. Just being available and informative. I really hope that this is where my dad chooses because I have had nothing but wonderful, warm, human-focused communication and follow-up. Plus, the place just looks perfect, the amenities and services are incredible...I'll put myself on the waitlist when I'm of age!!

I would rate Independence Village 5 stars!! Staff is friendly & helpful, even if it's not their dept. My apartment is a large 2 bed, 2 bath & is beautiful. Very clean & fresh. Very happy here.

My mom was looking for a new community where she could feel safe and enjoy common interest in activities with people her age. Independence village has been just the right environment for her. The staff are always very warm and kind. The best part is that the residence are always happy and doing activities together. It often feels like a dormitory of teenagers with all the activities and the laughter that goes on at all hours of the day or night. I’m also impressed with the activities that are offered and my mom has enjoyed participating in new things. It has been a wonderful place for her.

I have been super impressed with Independence Village My mom has been cared for by the most compassionate and kind people The staff at Independence Village and Corso Care are attentive, responsible and professional. The newly redone rooms a beautiful, th common areas are clean and very cozy. The activities calendar is full and most times I see residents out and about enjoying each others company and the facilities. The food was super good when we toured a few times. Breakfast and lunch seem to hit the mark but dinner is more of sandwiches and is my moms least enjoyable meal. If issues arise, the management team is very responsive. My only complaint is that it is super hot in my mom’s room but apparently the older units are being replaced. This is a hard transition from ones personal home to a community style living situation but I would feel confident that Independence Village will be a partner in the transition.

I would give the facility a 5 on each category! Absolutely no issues, wonderful staff and a great place for Dad. What we like the most about the community is that the facility is so clean and the food is excellent. The staff really goes out of their way to be kind and friendly.

The facilities are very nice. The staff is friendly and caring. The onsite physical therapy is great. The staff works hard to provide a variety of activities, outings, and social events.
