Why Residents And Their Families Love Boulder Creek

My Mom stayed at Boulder Creek Assisting Living. Staff was so kind and thoughtful. Always stopping by her room to say Hi, and inviting her to whatever activity was going on in case she forgot. For meals, from the first day, they intentionally set her seat at a table where she had something in common with the others, and she made friends! The food was delicious! She always told us what she had for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and how good it was!There was a lot of fun things going on too, like someone playing a guitar or the piano in the lobby, and singalongs to songs of their times. Arts and crafts, exercise class, and fun things to do related to the upcoming holidays.Staff was attentive, and there was never one of them that we disliked! All were kind and it actually felt like they were her friends. When she saw them in the hallways, she knew their names. Highly recommend Boulder Creek Assisted Living!

Unfortunately my dad was only there 11 days, never left the room, ate a meal or did any activities. We had no idea he would fail so fast. However, during that short time, the admin and care staff were all excellent. The room was the exact layout we wanted, and everything was beautiful and clean. The signing of paperwork and move-in were incredibly fast. This ended up being so important as my dad needed the higher level of care much sooner than we had expected. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

My mom joined the Boulder Creek family last November and is very much enjoying being there. She is cared for by people who really want to do their best for the people they take care of. She has access to many activities and loves the food. All of her needs are being met there and then some. If you are lucky enough to have a loved one join them, you will not regret it.

I work for Emmanuel Hospice and we provide services at Boulder Creek. I have recommended this community to people who ask me where are good assisted living communities.The staff are attentive, caring, and easy to work with. Jill and Holly help keep everything flowing well and are on top of the details. The community is beautiful and clean. You will love having your family member here!

My Mom (95) has lived at Boulder Creek for almost 4 years. She will tell you she has loved it since the day she moved in! From getting her nails & hair done in.house to playing balloon volleyball as well as all of the holiday celebrations, Boulder Creek's staff does not disappoint. The food is good and hot and they are always switching up the menu. Mom's laundry has never gotten lost and all of the staff is really more like a family.

I visited Boulder Creek for educational training and was very impressed. The community is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Residents were actively engaged in meaningful activities and clearly well cared for. It was a pleasure learning from such a knowledgeable and dedicated team.

I moved my Dad from a [community removed] to Boulder Creek Memory Care in Rockford in [date removed].This has been a great move for Dad and me both. The life enrichment program is top notch with lots of activities for residents. [name removed] does a wonderful job and Dad responds well to her.Dad loves the food at Boulder Creek. I have had lunch with him there and thought the food was great. Dad is a fan of soups and it is on the menu every day.My only complaint is the lack of a front door staff person on the weekends. I have rung the bell over and over on weekends and waited up to 15 minutes to be let inside the building. I may ask to go through the necessary background checks so that I can let myself in the building on the weekends.

My father has been residing at Boulder Creek for the past year after experiencing some health challenges. It was a difficult adjustment moving from his home of 50 years to a new place. This said, Boulder Creek has been the perfect place for my dad providing a safe environment for him free of stairs and obstacles that were risks in his former home.Additionally, the Care Team provide very good care to my dad in a compassionate, respectful and patient manner. There is a good mix of male and female residents as well which is nice along with several veterans. The facilities and common areas are clean and well decorated. And there are plenty of activities for residents to take advantage of. It took my father some time to partake in the activities but he seems to be engaging more and more. The social connection via the daily meals in the dining room has been wonderful for my father.I would highly recommend a review of Boulder Creek if you are looking at Assisted Living.

My family recently toured Boulder Creek Assisted Living for a place for my younger sister. She is confined to a wheel chair and needs assistance with daily personal care and other needs. This place was so beautiful compared to the current place she was staying that in my heart I knew that she was not going to be able to afford such a place. However, [name removed] and his team made it happen for [name removed]! She loves Boulder Creek. She has her own room with her own bathroom and this room is bigger than the one that she was sharing at the other place. The meals are good and if it's something she doesn't like or want they make her something else. The staff is great and always available to talk to. We are all very happy with Boulder Creek and the staff!

Our 98 year old mother has lived alone for many years following the death of our father. We finally got her into Assisted Living by insisting that she can no longer live alone. At first, she was very reluctant to move into Boulder Creek but we're very happy that her transition to has been a blessing for her and her sons. The staff at Boulder Creek have been instrumental to her successful transition.

Boulder Creek Assisted Living has been wonderful for my mom. She had a stroke at 64 years old and we needed a place for her upon discharge from Mary Free Bed. The staff has been instrumental in her recovery and has helped us navigate life post stroke. We are grateful she is safe and comfortable for as long as she may be there.

Boulder Creek Assisted Living did a great job caring for my aging mother. It was a difficult transition for her to move into a place that was not her own home, the staff were amazing and I would often hear my mom admit that the staff were so nice. We felt she got excellent care by the caring staff. The food was good, the home was kept clean, the staff were always very helpful and kind. While we wished we could have kept my mom in her own home, this was the perfect place when that was not possible any longer.

Every move that a patient with dementia makes reduces their life by a significant amount. Hospice was invaluable. They have far more knowledge regarding dementia patients than the staff....use them. They need more activities to keep people engaged. They had just hired someone and she was improving the process. Food was just not very good, often cold & dry. Frequently the choices were hard for people to chew.

5 across the board. Mom is happy there. I would definitely tell anyone we are happy with the community and suggest they visit and decide for themselves. Choosing an assisted living facility for a loved one is a personal decision. Mom loved the décor, and that was the reason we chose BC. Turned out to be a great decision for us.
