One of the last few “stops” on Route 66 was a hot air balloon ride at Sky Adventure in honor of the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The balloon ride was also a dream adventure for one of the residents at StoryPoint Chesterfield, who always wanted to ride in a hot air balloon and was able to fulfill her wish.Route 66 Adventures Brought Home: The Route 66 journey ended at the Santa Monica Pier. With delectable treats from Savvy Sliders and Detroit Taco Company food trucks, hilarious caricature drawings, great music and the adrenaline rush of the Modern Skate Park’s show of pro skaters, bladers and BMX bikers, it was an event to remember.Dramatic Evenings At The Riverbank Theatre: A visit to the Riverbank Theatre (part of the Thumbcoast Live Theaters) promises drama, laughter and unforgettable performances. The Riverbank Theatre is in the historic Marine Savings Bank building in downtown Marine City, Michigan. With its bank vaults and early 1900s architecture still intact, attendees feel like they are stepping back in time. You can expect top-notch, Broadway-style productions at the Riverbank Theatre annually. Our residents enjoy attending the theater and watching classics like “Steel Magnolias.” They also love to dine out by the waterside after a show.Wild Adventures At The Detroit Zoo: The Detroit Zoo is only a half-hour drive from StoryPoint Chesterfield and makes for a great day trip for our residents. The Crooked Creek Dairy Farm is a pleasant place to visit. Our residents enjoy trips to the farm and spending the day there.
