Independence Village Senior Living Hosts National Cookie Madness Championship

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEApril 24th, 2018 Brighton, MI – Independence Village along with their sister company, StoryPoint, collected over 200 recipes in their Cookie Madness competition and have recently narrowed down 64 cookie recipes from their senior residents to only 4. They invite everyone to attend their Flour Four and the National Cookie Madness Championship event on Saturday, April 28th, from 1 PM – 4 PM at Skyline High School in Ann Arbor. At this final event, all communities’ staff, residents and families are encouraged to attend. Independence Village also welcomes the general public, as they will be the voting population for the Flour Four. Once only two cookies remain, a celebrity panel will determine the winner of Cookie Madness and ultimately the “greatest cookie in the cosmos.” The four remaining cookies in the running are: Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookie, White Chocolate Chip Cookie, Soft Pumpkin Cookie and Fresh Apple Glazed Cookie. Independence Village hopes you will make it to the National Championship and help decide which cookies will crumble and which will be crowned the winning cookie. Independence Village and StoryPoint are privileged to show appreciation to the community, especially through the talents of the residents they serve. In this friendly competition, they were able to collect a variety of family recipes, passed down from multiple generations, with some recipes over 200 years old. Cookie Madness inspired the residents, along with their families to engage the community with not only their recipes but by sharing their stories along the way.
