The staff is wonderful. My aunt can be a tough cookie sometimes, but the team does everything they can to make sure she gets the attention and care she needs. They keep in touch with me frequently, sharing if concerns arise and responding quickly if I have a question.
One of the reasons my aunt chose this community was the variety of activities. She’s made crafts, enjoyed live music, done yoga, gone on local bus trips and more! Together, we enjoyed a day in the sun, seeing the hot air balloons take off at the Ravenna Balloon A-Fair.Behind-The-Scenes At The Aurora TheaterResidents headed to the Aurora Community Theatre for a day of theatrical fun. We were even able to see behind-the-scenes of their production of Matilda. Not many people get the chance to attend a dress rehearsal!A Visit From HorsesAt Independence Village of Aurora, we’re always horsing around, but this time, we were visited by two friendly horses who joined in on the fun. We were able to feed and pet them, and all right out front of our community!Take Me Out To The Ball GameIt was a beautiful sunny day at Canal Park watching the Rubber Ducks play. There’s nothing like a ball game to make you feel like a little kid again!Dinner At The Cheesecake FactoryWe always seem to end up back here at the Cheesecake Factory. This is one of our favorite lunch outing spots, and residents enjoyed everything from pasta to burgers and, of course, cheesecake!Road Trip To KraynaksWe hopped in the community shuttle and took a trip to Hermitage, PA to one of the best Christmas stores. Kraynaks is a family-owned and operated store with beautiful walk-through displays that have become a tradition for many local families. They sell Christmas and Easter decorations, toys, gifts, potted plants and fresh cut flowers.
