They’re family!Recently, several StoryPoint Gahanna Central community members came together to celebrate life, embrace the next chapter, and treasure their time with one another.Here are some examples of the events they’ve enjoyed together the last few weeks.
Having Fun Within — and Outside of — Our Community
- Camp Day: By attending Senior Day Camp, which was held at Blacklick Metro Park, some of our residents were treated to various activities, including bingo, crafts, and a tram ride.
- Crafting for the Fall: Lately, a Summit Home Health employee visited StoryPoint Gahanna Central and led a craft activity. Numerous pumpkins were created out of clay terracotta pots — just in time for fall and Halloween!
- Man’s Best Friends: This fall, we hosted New Albany Therapy Dogs as well. A variety of K9 friends performed many talents, including bomb detection and apprehension.
- Safari Time!: In September, we also hosted the Columbus Zoo Senior Safari — and more animals! During the safari, residents saw an opossum, owls, penguins, a sloth, and a tortoise.
- Safety First: Residents received a safety demonstration from Mifflin Township Division of Fire, too. The demonstration mainly focused on choking, CPR, and first aid.
- Sippin’ and Paintin’: Finally, through a sip and paint gathering, our residents were able to showcase their artistic talents, while also socializing with family members and fellow residents.
