Spaghetti Squash Soup Making All The Raves!

Our very own Sous Chef Addison from Independence Village of Oxford (Waterstone) rocked it out in the Healthy Soup & Stew Challenge at the Orion Area Healthy Body and Mind Expo.
Taking place this past week, Chef Addison wowed the crowd at the expo with his unique soup recipe: Spaghetti Squash Soup! Attendees were walking through the expo raving over the famous soup that our beloved chef created. Many of them stopped in for seconds and even thirds!We love having the opportunity to share the food from our communities, and our team always loves being able to participate in these events. These events provide an opportunity for the chefs to showcase their skills and have fun at the same time. Those who taste the food get a trial of what our residents at Independence Village of Oxford experience every day.RELATED: The Quality Of Senior Dining In Senior Living CommunitiesIn honor of his achievement, Chef Addison’s name and our community’s name will be engraved on the famous “Traveling Dragon Healthy Food Award” plaque. This is a huge accomplishment, especially with our Oxford community being the only Senior Living Community participating at the expo!The event is hosted by the Orion Chamber of Commerce and takes place every year.
