We moved my 100+ year old aunt to StoryPoint (Quartet) three years ago and we absolutely made the right decision. The building is beautiful and has great dining, but the biggest positive is the staff. From the beginning, they treated her like their mother/grandmother/great grandmother. She was so happy to have so many "family" members caring for her since she has no children of her own. Take a tour and you will see for yourself.

My brother has been a resident at StoryPoint Bettendorf (formerly Quartet) for almost 2 years and I have been so thankful he’s there for countless reasons. When he first moved in, he had some assisted living needs which were addressed and served above and beyond expectations. Truly, as someone struggling with depression, his experience there saved his life. He’s now living there independently and I credit supportive staff and services with his growth and development toward independence. All staff from Executive Director Matt Ricketts down to food servers and resident assistants have gone out of their way to be there for my brother. All staff members are positive and caring and express their love for working there. (Matt sets a tone that emphasizes a relationship with each resident that’s individualized, caring, and concerned. He’s out there actively interacting in the community and setting a positive, caring example.) The food served in restaurant style is one of my brother’s favorite things about Story Point. Very supporitive an felt heard when I had questions about my care or billing questions. I feel that [Name Removed] cares about me and others. I always see him out and about with other residents. He and the team have a broad interest in more than just their job. I always get a "Hello[Name Removed]' from staff, even if I dont know them. Trust is important and it is evident.

My mother moved to StoryPoint last fall. The care and support she has at StoryPoint has been really helpful. Her health and mind has improved through daily activities, social connections, and spending time outside on the beautiful grounds. She has a wonderful view and lots of sun to boost her mood. The community is a great social boost and I have comfort knowing she is in good hands.

I would say five for all of them. As far as quality of care, she really doesn't have any extra help with showering or medication or anything like that so I don't know that I'm a really great judge of that. But we had had experiences where she hasn't come down for a meal and they seek her out to find out why not and bring her a meal if she doesn't feel well so I do feel like they keep an eye on the residents . They have a tremendous assortment of food options for every meal, and the quality is very good We haven't seen a red flag yet. The rooms are larger than other places, it does not smell like a nursing home, and we have not encountered a staff member that is not extremely friendly. Really cannot say enough good stuff about it.

I found this place for a dear friend who had cancer, she passed a way last week. Quartet worked with Hospice in caring for her. They did an excellent job of caring for her.

The experiences I have had with the activities department has been very disappointing. Many times in the memory department there is no staff. No staff because meetings are at the same time as activities. Therefore, meetings took precedent; therefore activities suffered. Bake club lacks the baking supplies to have the activities. I have had to teach the exercise class many times because there wouldn't be any if I didn't. I feel the memory care unit is never a priority.

The staff are extremely friendly. They offer large modern rooms and have competitive pricing. There is a large meeting room with bar, pool table, tv's. The entire facility is beautifully decorated.

I had a poor experience with my meal last evening but today Matt the director came to see me. We resolved the issue. That is what is so great about this place. They really work with you to resolve your problems.

The facility was clean and well maintained. The nursing staff did I very good job administering my Mom's medicines. They were also very attentive when she was having medical issues. One time stands out when they caught a low oxygen level in her blood. They called me to discuss their findings. We decided to get her immediately to the hospital where they found she had aspirated water into her lungs. They also called me anytime she had a fall.
